Hoarding is what happens when keeping outpaces using, until rooms stop serving their purpose. A bathtub full of storage, a kitchen that cannot cook, a hallway walked single file. The pattern matters more than any single object, and it responds far better to patient help than to argument.
This arrives as emotion long before it becomes logistics. Feeling stuck, embarrassed and unsure where to begin is the normal condition of everyone who calls, which is why our first conversation is unhurried, private and completely free of pressure.

Absolutely not!  Iowa Hoarding is in the business of working with you to restore your home to a clean and safe condition.  We will not contact any government, social service, or community agency to report on the condition of your home.

If you request itMaybe there’s a caseworker or an inspector already involved on your end. Just tell us, and Iowa Hoarding will get in touch with them. We’ve talked things over with case managers, county inspectors, and other providers before. Understanding their concerns lets us bring the home up to a standard everybody can sign off on.

Now and then a house gets cleaned in phases, with Iowa Hoarding taking care of specific areas first and coming back for the rest. As a rule, though, it’s a single job start to finish. Because we’ve built relationships around Iowa, we can steer you toward professional organizers, in-home helpers, counselors, and other people who make it easier to hold onto the progress.

Yes!  Iowa Hoarding is both native to Iowa and woman-owned!
